Beo Khoon, AKA BK in the military, spent more than two decades in the military and he retired as a senior officer in the SAF. Back in the SAF, he was taught to do the right things right, and to share best practices. He believes in giving back and molding the next generation which is why he volunteered to teach the middle-level officers as a Directing Staff (DS) in the Army Officers' Advanced School. That further fueled his passion in educating and coaching which led him to further his studies in National Institute of Education in the Specialist Diploma in Learning Science.  As an ex-military officer, he was brought up to be professional and meticulous in every task that he embarks on as any error made in military operation planning may cause a ripple effect downstream. 

When BK retired from the military, he decided to venture into wealth management as it has always been a topic that he taken a keen interest in. However, as a fulltime military professional back then, he could only plan and monitor his own portfolio whenever an issue/need arose, like creating an excel to plan his wedding expenses, creating a buy-sell property calculator, to comparing different financial platforms to outperform bank interest rates. As a result of this, he was the go-to whenever his peers had financial questions. 

So, in 2021 when he joined the financial advisory industry, he adopted an Attitude and Belief with Commitment (A.B.C) with BK (#ABCwithBK) approach as a guiding principle for his financial advisory services.  He specialises in advising his military peers in all aspects of their financial roadmap from purchasing and financing their first property, to creating a passive multi-assets portfolio so that they focus on their military careers and families, and eventually have a smooth career transition.

In early 2021, he was introduced to Dexter Koh, who happened to be an ex-military professional too, and immediately won over by how he had developed a unique and holistic advisory model, called the Total Portfolio Advisory© (TPA) approach. To elaborate in military term, TPA is like combining the principles and methodology of the Battle Planning procedure, battle monitoring and asset allocation which not only provides an overview of individual wealth portfolios, but also allows one to clearly understand how their lives’ milestones are being fulfilled.

Beo Khoon graduated from National University of Singapore with a Bachelor Degree in Engineering and had also attained a Specialist Diploma in Learning Science from the National Institute of Education. He is an Associate Estate Planning Practitioner (AEPP®) from Estate Planning Practitioners Limited and an IBF Qualified (IBFQ) from Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) Singapore.
